Kakao Entertainment Closes Another Platform, Radish
Radish was originally acquired by Kakao Entertainment back in 2021 for 440 million USD. Neither Kakao Entertainment or Radish have announced a reason, but the platform will be coming to a close on December 31, 2025.

Animated Adaptation for “The Elementary School Student I Love” Officially Shuts Down
“The Elementary School Student I Love” was originally published by Lezhin in 2015 and currently is available on multiple platforms. The animated adaptation has been under fire for its story and the studio behind the adaptation has announced the closure of the project.
In a further development, the series has been taken down from most major platforms including Kakao Page, Kyobo, and RIDI.

Naver Webtoon to Publish “Parasyte” in Full-Color, Scroll-View
The classic manga, “Parasyte”, launched on Naver Webtoon in Korea in full-color and scroll view. “Fullmetal Alchemist” and several other manga titles have been published on the platform in a similar manner before debuting on WEBTOON’s US site.

KT Launches a New Webnovel Platform
KT officially launched “Millie’s Library”, a digital bookstore that also includes webnovel titles. Also, it’s been reported that KT transferred operational ownership of two webtoon/webnovel platforms to “Millie’s Library” from their other subsidiary, Storywiz.

WEBTOON’s Eleceed Anime Adaptation Slated for 2026
WEBTOON officially announced the anime adaptation of their hit webtoon series, Eleceed to be handled by Dandelion Animation Studio. They also revealed that there are currently 20 webtoon to anime adaptations curreenly underway.
